This Ten Ounce Silver Bar is the second release in The Royal Mint’s bullion bar series inspired by ‘Una and the Lion’. This release has drawn inspiration from the poem, The Faerie Queene. Una, an honourable princess, embarks on a quest to liberate her parents from a dragon’s captivity, she then encounters a lion, whose ferocity is tamed by her innocence. The characters of Una and her Lion representing the themes of virtue and resilience. The reverse of the bar features a youthful princess alongside her lion, who serves as an emblem of courage and strength. Latin inscription reads ‘DIRIGE DEUS GRESSUS MEOS’, which translates to ‘May God direct my steps’. The obverse of the bar features the Royal Mint logo, bar weight and purity. These Ten Ounce Una and the Lion bars are preowned. These bars are provided in a plastic cassette style box/capsule.
