Britannia One Ounce 2023 Silver Coin Queen Elizabeth II

Overview

2023 Britannia one ounce coins are issued by the Royal Mint. This limited issue of the 2023 Britannia 1oz silver coin will be the last version featuring Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Fifth Portrait. In December, the 2023 Britannia will feature King Charles III's first portrait as monarch.

The coin features the following added design and security features a latent image on the reverse of the coin, which changes from a trident to a padlock surface animation, which will make the waves in the background of the portrait appear to appear to move as the coin interacts with the light tincture lines, which animate the colours of the Union Flag and are incredibly tough to replicate.

These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Tax free coins are available to buy from ATS Bullion and these include Sovereigns, half Sovereigns and gold and silver Britannias. Britannia One Ounce 2023 King Charles III Silver Coin

The NEW Britannia release featuring the first official Royal Mint portrait of His Majesty the King, Charles III. 2023 has seen two different versions of the Britannia minted and released. Up until the close of 2022, the 2023 coins featured the late Queen Elizabeth II, and from now on the coins released from the Royal Mint will feature King Charles III on the obverse. The reverse of the coin maintains the state-of-the-art security details that have appeared on the recent Britannia releases. These include a latent image on the reverse of the coin, which changes from a trident to a padlock surface animation.
