One Ounce Royal Mint Maid Marian Coin

Overview

The Royal Mint have released a new series of gold coins, ‘Myths and Legends’. It explores the stories of figures from British folklore.

The second coin in the series for 2022, focuses on Robin Hood’s companion, Maid Marian. The history surrounding her is obscure, but was said to be highly respected for her loyalty, courage and independence.

The design sees her with a bow amongst Sherwood Forest, with the obverse displaying Queen Elizabeth II. These are 24ct and contain one troy ounce of gold. They are also available in a one ounce silver edition.

These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.

2022 Britannia one ounce coins are issued by the Royal Mint. ATS Bullion, London's West End bullion dealer, is an authorised dealer of gold and silver Britannia coins. The new 2022 coin features the following added design and security features a latent image on the reverse of the coin, which changes from a trident to a padlock surface animation, which will make the waves in the background of the portrait appear to appear to move as the coin interacts with the light tincture lines, which animate the colours of the Union Flag and are incredibly tough to replicate. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
