
In 2014 The Royal Mint released their first Chinese Lunar coins. This series is a sequence of annual designs of 12 coins. This was designed by British Chinese Artist Wuon-Gean Ho.
The one ounce gold year of the Horse 2014, is the first in the series. People born under the year of the Horse are said to represent speed and freedom. Each coin weighs one troy ounce is 999.9 fine gold.
These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
Years of the Horse include 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, and 2026.
