Overview

These 24 carat 1oz Royal Mint coins celebrate the Chinese Lunar Calendar Year of the Pig. This is the 6th edition of the Lunar designs that the Royal Mint have produced. As with standard Britannia coins, they have a face value of £100 and are Capital Gains Tax Exempt (CGT free).

As with previous designs, the Lunar depiction has been created by the British Chinese artist Wuon-Gean Ho.

Britannia one ounce gold coins are issued by the Royal Mint and have a face value of £100. The first Britannia was minted in 1987. In 2013 the Royal Mint decided to produce the 1oz gold Britannia in 24 carat, as opposed to 22 carat. The actual gold content remains the same however. ATS Bullion, London's West End bullion dealer, is an authorised dealer of gold and silver Britannia coins. These coins also benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free. Please note that the date of the Britannia you receive may vary, but all coins will be in a good condition.

Lunar Nugget Two Ounce Gold Coin

The Perth Mint started to make large bullion coins in 1991, offering a 2oz coin, a 10oz coin and 1kg coin. This 2oz coin contains 62.207g of 24 carat gold, and in 1992 its face value was changed $200. In 1991 the face value of the coin was $500 but this was amended to align with the 1oz gold coin.
