Overview

The Peru 5 soles coin is a small gold coin, minted between the years of 1956 and 1969 was manufactured by the Lima Mint in the Peruvian capital. The coin features Lady Liberty seated on the obverse of the coin, and the Peruvian coat of arms on the reverse - the coat of arms celebrating Peruvian heritage with the image of a Vicuna (the national animal), the Cinchona national tree (from where quinine is derived) and coins spilling from a cornucopia in tribute to their mineral wealth.

Unusually, the coin also lists the specifications - both gross weight of 46.8071g and fine weight of 42.1264g.

The last regular issue of Ducats was in 1914, and all the 1 Ducats dated 1915 are restrikes. One Ducat coins dated 1915 are still being produced by the Austrian Mint today. The design shows the laureate head of Emperor Franz Joseph I on the obverse and an image of the crowned imperial eagle on the reverse. Austrian 100 Corona

The Austrian 100 Corona gold coins were issued between 1908 and 1915. After the death of Franz Joseph in 1916 commemorative coins of the 100 Corona were restruck, which were all dated 1915. The 100 Corona contains just under one troy ounce of gold - its pure gold content is 0.9802 troy oz. The obverse of the coin portrays the bare head of Emperor Franz Joseph I, while the reverse shows the arms of Austria overlaying a double headed, crowned Eagle.
